MISFIT YTH is a gathering of students from 6th-12th grade who have decided that we don't want to fit in with the crowd. Why try so hard to fit in when we were born to stand out? We have committed to being a generation that doesn't just go with the flow, but to intentionally be misfits with a cause. We gathering to stand out, together.

A misfit is defined as, a person whose behavior or attitude sets them apart from others in an uncomfortably conspicuous way or something that does not fit.

In the world, there are plenty of adults who feel like they don't fit in with the world around them. There are even more youth who walk around with this unspoken feeling that they don't belong with their peers. It is a natural feeling, but with a supernatural calling. We learn from Paul as he is writing to the church of Rome, that we should be MISFITS. Not conforming to the patterns of the world, but being transformed by God and His will for us. MISFIT YTH are youth who understand we are set apart by God.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Romans 12:2 (NIV)

To reach and disciple students to stand out from the crowd.
